RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav’s daughter, Rohini Acharya, has created a stir with emotional posts announcing she is quitting politics and distancing herself from her family. She alleged she was abused, accused of donating a “dirty kidney” for money and political gain, and said she was treated so badly that she felt “orphaned.”
Rohini’s conflict with her family is exposed
Rohini said her troubles began after RJD’s poor performance in the Bihar assembly polls, where the party fell to just 25 seats. She alleged that two of Tejashwi Yadav’s close aides — MP Sanjay Yadav from Haryana and Rameez from Uttar Pradesh — insulted her, raised a slipper to hit her, and told her to quit politics.
She claimed they accused her of donating a “dirty kidney” to her father during his Singapore transplant and taking crores of rupees in exchange for a ticket to contest the Saran Lok Sabha seat in 2024, where she lost.
Rohini wrote that she never took her husband or in-laws’ permission before donating her kidney because she felt it was her duty to save her father. She now regrets that choice, saying she was made to feel guilty for choosing her father over her own home.
Her posts also targeted Tejashwi’s aides, accusing them of acting like self-proclaimed “Chanakyas” who did not listen to party workers and contributed to RJD’s defeat. She said no member of her family defended her during the confrontation. No one from the Yadav family has responded publicly to her claims.
