Rakul Preet Singh has opened up about the tough financial period her husband Jackky Bhagnani’s production house, Pooja Entertainment, faced after multiple post-pandemic films flopped. She clarified misleading reports, shared how the family coped, and stressed that setbacks are part of every producer’s journey.

Rakul Preet Singh breaks silence

In her interview, Rakul said the crisis was “challenging but temporary,” emphasising that many reports circulating at the time were exaggerated or incorrect. She explained that while two to three films didn’t work, financial blows aren’t unusual in the industry, citing Amitabh Bachchan’s past struggles as an example.

Rakul added that she remained calm because she knew the truth first-hand. For her, gratitude was the anchor: having a home, health, and consistent work mattered more than comparison or negativity. She highlighted that every tough situation offers two perspectives, and she chose optimism.

Films and fallout faced by Pooja Entertainment

  • Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’s failure led to Vashu Bhagnani filing an FIR against director Ali Abbas Zafar for allegedly inflating the budget.
  • Reports claimed unpaid dues to staff; payments were later reportedly cleared with the help of Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff.
  • Heavy losses compelled the mortgaging of multiple properties belonging to the Bhagnani family.
  • Post-pandemic releases Mission Raniganj, Ganapath, and Bade Miyan Chote Miyan all underperformed, pushing the studio to adopt strict corrective measures

Despite the financial strain, Rakul emphasised resilience, positivity, and perspective. She believes every career has phases, and this setback though severe was just another test the family chose to face with unity and gratitude.
